Aldo Martinelli
Born in Trieste, a port city shaped by shifting horizons and maritime light, Aldo Martinelli developed an early sensitivity to atmosphere, space and movement, elements that remain central to his visual language.
After studying in Milan and spending formative years working between New York and Miami, he established his studio in Milan and built an international career collaborating with leading fashion houses, luxury brands and cultural figures. His work moves across fashion, portraiture and advertising, combining precision, restraint and emotional depth.
Over the years he has photographed internationally renowned personalities and worked with brands across Europe, the United States, China and the Middle East. Yet beyond commissions, his practice is driven by a constant search for presence, the subtle tension between subject, light and observer.
His images are structured yet intimate, refined yet human. He seeks clarity and authenticity rather than spectacle.
Today, together with his wife Cristiana, he has established his base in Southern Sardinia, between Cagliari and the island of San Pietro, a landscape of wind, stone and luminous horizons that continues to influence his evolving vision.

Nato a Trieste, città di mare e di orizzonti mobili, Aldo Martinelli sviluppa fin da giovane una sensibilità per atmosfera, spazio e movimento, elementi che ancora oggi definiscono il suo linguaggio visivo.
Dopo gli studi a Milano e un periodo professionale tra New York e Miami, fonda il proprio studio a Milano e costruisce una carriera internazionale collaborando con importanti maison di moda, brand del lusso e figure del mondo del cinema e culturale. Il suo lavoro attraversa moda, ritratto e advertising, unendo precisione formale, misura ed intensità emotiva.
Nel corso degli anni ha fotografato personalità di fama internazionale e lavorato con aziende in Europa, Stati Uniti, Cina e Medio Oriente. Oltre alle commissioni, la sua ricerca è guidata da una costante attenzione alla presenza, quella tensione sottile tra soggetto, luce e osservatore.
Le sue immagini sono strutturate ma intime, raffinate ma umane. Ricerca chiarezza e autenticità piuttosto che spettacolarizzazione.
Oggi, insieme alla moglie Cristiana, ha scelto di stabilire la propria base nel Sud Sardegna, tra Cagliari e l’isola di San Pietro, un paesaggio di vento, pietra e orizzonti luminosi che continua a influenzare la sua evoluzione visiva.

多年来，他为国际知名人物拍摄肖像，并与欧洲、美国、中国及中东地区的品牌合作。然而，除商业委托之外，他的创作始终源于对“存在感”的探索——那种存在于人物、光线与观看者之间的微妙张力。
他的影像结构清晰却富有亲密感，精致而真实。他追求的是清晰与真诚，而非表面的视觉效果。
近年来，他与妻子 Cristiana 将创作基地设于意大利撒丁岛南部，往返于卡利亚里与圣彼得罗岛的卡洛福尔泰之间。那里充满风、岩石与明亮天际线的景观，持续影响并塑造着他不断演进的视觉表达。
